German specialist Domenico Tedesco may soon lead Spartak.
According to the source, the trainer arrived in Moscow to get acquainted with the club’s infrastructure – Otkritie Arena, the base and other facilities.
It is noted that the mentor has not yet made a final decision to lead the red and white. It also depends on the opinion of the 34-year-old specialist regarding what he saw in Russia.
Earlier it was reported that Tedesco is the main candidate for the post of head coach of Spartak. German specialist can sign a contract with the club on October 7th. The last job of the 34-year-old mentor was Schalke, from which he left in March 2019.
Recall, on September 29, the Moscow club left Oleg Kononov, who trained the team since last November. Under his leadership, the red and white took 5th place last season. In the new, they were not able to enter the group stage of the Europa League, losing two to the Braga in the total of two games (0: 1, 1: 2). Now Spartak is on the 12th line in the standings, having 14 points in its asset.
