Found dead in a hiking trail in Bagnacavallo: he had been missing since yesterday

As reported by an Ansa note, it was found died in a cliff this morning Mario Ravaglia, the 68 year old hiker from Bagnacavallo missing since yesterday on the ‘52 Tunnel Road’ of Monte Pasubio. The man, together with five companions, left yesterday morning from Bocchetta Campiglia; arrived at the 19 / a gallery the group stopped to look for one of their glasses, while the 68-year-old continued alone.

It seems that having reached the Pope Hut and not having found it, the comrades thought it was already down and took the Strada degli Scarubbi towards the valley. Once at the car, however, around 17.00, the man was not there, the cell phone turned off and the alarm went off. The last contact was at 12.00, when the hiker was on the phone with his wife, until the line fell. The research continued throughout the night and this morning, with the help of a helicopter.

Ravaglia, a retired doctor, had worked in the emergency room for many years, helping countless patients. Those who knew him remember "his profound humanity, professionalism and great empathy with patients".
