Egypt is losing the last elephant in the country

The latest African elephants, Naima, died at Giza Zoo in Egypt at the age of 40.

Mohamed Rajai, head of the central zoo department, said he was saddened by the loss of a zoo star after the elephant Karima was lost three years ago.

Naima suffered fatigue on Sunday, before spending Monday morning following a heart attack caused by depression, despite taking all medical measures.

Rajai explained that the apparent examination reveals that the death may be due to old age, explaining that the garden has done the necessary procedures to bury the body.

The elephant's body will be mummified and kept at the zoo's animal museum.
