The Eiffel Tower lights are off in memory of the former president.

The Eiffel Tower, one of the main attractions of Paris, the capital of France, will be turned off tonight in memory of former French President Jacques Chirac, who passed away this morning, according to Sputnik.

Jacques Chirac was President of France from 1995 to 2007, who died this morning at the age of 87.

Tonight at 9pm local time, the Eiffel Tower lights will go out.
