Rohani: Iran's Free Trade Area with Eurasian Economic Union is in effect from the end of October

According to Iranian President Hassan Rohani, Iran's free trade zone with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAWU) will start operating in late October, according to its official website on Monday.

"The implementation of the agreement with this Union will take place on 27 October, and 502 articles of our goods will be able to benefit from special advantageous conditions," Rohani said.
Rohani told this before his departure for Armenia, where the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council will take place. He said that this would create trade relations in the free trade area created by Iran and EAWU.
Earlier it had been reported that an agreement on establishing a free trade area between Serbia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAWU) could also be signed on 25 October. This was announced by the Russian ambassador to Serbia, Alexander Bozan-Kharchenko, on his Twitter account.

As the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Paschinjan had stated earlier, a contract for a free trade area could also be signed between the EAWU and Singapore on October 1 in Yerevan.
