"The president (Morales) will be participating together with the president (of France, Emmanuel) Macron in this event and there will also be a bilateral meeting with President Macron," Pary told reporters.
He indicated that the meeting convened by Macron will be held in New York taking advantage of the presence of leaders from around the world who will attend the first sessions of the annual General Assembly of the United Nations.
Pary said Morales plans to develop an intense agenda in New York on September 23 and 24, including a speech at the General Assembly, in which he will report on Bolivia's response to the current fires in the Chiquitania, transitional region between the Amazon and the South American Chaco.
"Additionally there is a meeting convened annually by the Secretary General of the United Nations on climate change, President Morales has been invited and, therefore, we are making the necessary coordination so that he can participate, will address the issues of climate change," Pary said. .
He added that Morales will thank all the countries and organizations that sent technical, human and financial help to face the small fires in the UN.
