Former US Assistant Secretary of State for National Security John Bolton told a conference at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington that North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un will not give up nuclear weapons in the current situation, Sputnik reports. It will do its best to maintain its arsenal.
"Under the current circumstances, he will never voluntarily give up his nuclear weapons, as no strategic decision to abandon nuclear weapons has been made," he said.
Bolton pointed out that Kim Jong Un could get some points in this regard.
On September 10, US President Donald Trump fired Bolton. He explained that he disagreed with many of his suggestions.
